The power behind ‘‘I CAN’’ by Cletus Opukeme
(Dedicated to all firstborns without silver spoon)
I CAN is the human will power of success. It is the propelling force or driving spirit to overcome. I can simply means I am set for victory. I can means failure is not my portion. It is a pre- acceptance speech for victory. Those who could say I can make it even in the worst situation as they declared for victory.
I CAN is much than mere phrase. It is embedded in spirituality of the affirmation of the sea goddess of success built in the deep esoteric cosmos beyond the human ordinary explanation.
When you say I CAN’T. You have already professed or surrendered your power for defeatism or failure before the battle starts. You have given up. Don’t give up. The boxing champion in the ring never says I can’t. But he says I CAN. I can gives ray of hope to the coach and supporters in the ring even though the fighter is soaked with his own blood from his opponents knocks. Never say I can’t . But say I CAN, I can is positive though of a winner which defeats the most cruel demon. I CAN, is an incantation to the ancestors, passionately inviting for all the spirits of past warriors to join you to fight for victory.
Human may see you alone. But you see yourself surrendered with invisible powers of great men and women of ancestors who do it with similar vigour, determination, passion and won. If you say ‘‘I can” all the times, you are a champion in your own world and you have won all blame games of either the devil or humans.
Say to yourself. I am a champion because I believed in the power of I CAN . Go and write it boldly ‘‘I can’’ on your wall in a secret place and read it everyday, you will succeed in life even though you can’t pray everyday. I don’t condemn prayers because there is power in prayer. But prayer without passion for your work for greatness I CAN’T is self-defeatism and surrender to failure and accuse the innocent devil.
