Project inspection: Oweh expresses satisfaction

*Appeals to communities to uphold a positive maintenance culture

 The DESOPADEC Commissioner representing Isoko nation, Dr Paul Oweh embarked on inspection of projects of the commission in Isoko North and South local government areas.
Projects inspected include; block of classroom with administrative office and toilet facilities at Eweri primary school, Emede; Lugard Eboh road, Irri; block of classroom with administrative office at Elo-Oghene primary school, Bethel-Oyede; Okpesia road, Oleh; God’spower Obaro road, Oleh; Ogofatha road, Oleh; Onitsha road, Ozoro; and Water supply project, Uruto street, Ozoro.
The commissioner who was pleased with the level of work done and the speed at which they were executed, expressed confidence that the projects  will be commission soon and serve the needs of the benefitting communities.
He stated that, “Some of these projects have been completed by the previous board, while others were initiated and completed under the current board. I’m particularly pleased with the level of work done”
The commissioner specially appreciated the Delta  State governor Dr.Ifeanyi Okowa for the support he has given to the commission which greatly accounted for the success recorded. He also thanked the MD/CEO of the commission, Bashorun Askiah Ogieh for his prudent management of the limited resources particularly at this critical time of the Covid19 pandemic.
While charging the people to take responsibility of projects in their areas, he stressed the need to imbibe a positive maintenance culture so as to ensure total care and security of the projects.
He further assured the Isoko people to be  hopeful of more projects and solicit their continuous support for the Okowa led government and DESOPADEC under Chief Askia Ogieh.
Some of the community leaders who spoke commended the commission and the state government in general.
Speaking at Emede, Mr Shedrack Owhofasa, who spoke on behalf of the community, expressed gratitude to the state government and DESOPADEC for the classroom project, saying that it sure will improve the academic activities of the school thereby breeding better children for the society.
At Ozoro, the president general, Mr Nicholas Areh was highly elated. He thanked the governor and the government for the attention it has given to the Ozoro community and promise total cooperation of his people. He said they will do anything possible to protect government properties in the community.
The commissioner was Accompanied by the CSO DESOPADEC, Engr Lawrence Eduje, his political aides and members of staff.
