BENUE- Benue state is set to witness a new wave of
bloodbath   despite the anti-grazing law put in place by the state
executive governor to protect his people from the menace of a
‘Criminal gang’ cum jihadist if what is on ground is to be taken
seriously.

Daily watch investigations confirmed that in less than a month after
the great peace associated with the anti-grazing law signing a new
kind of attack this time without provocation or farmers/cattle fracas
is emerging.

In the new system of attack armed men believed to be herdsmen without
their cattle would just storm whichever community of their plot and
rush in with highly sophisticated weapons shooting everything in
sight.

The recent been the attack launched just  few days ago on the Benue
Community of Tse Igbudu Taraka   in which several persons were
reportedly killed in cold blood .The said gunmen who are said to be
Fulani Herdsmen stormed and invaded the Community at the wee hours of
Tuesday morning and started shooting any moving object in sight.

Daily Watch foray in to the community  to ascertain the casualty
figure was blocked by security personnel who are said to  be also on
their way to the area which is said to be totally bereft of any human
presence as all inhabitants had either been killed or fled to the
bushes for their lives.

It would be recalled that prior to the signing of the anti-grazing
Laws in to Existence a group of the Mayetti Allah Association  in the
Benue state had threatened to make the state a theatre of war if the
Law was signed in the state.

Already there are speculations that the attack already seen in several
other communities are the outcome of the threats of a factional
leader of the Mayetta Allah in the state since the attacks are usually
without provocation or the attackers with their cattle as was the case
in the past.

Daily Watch reached out to the State Police Public Relation Officer
(PRO)Moses Yamu who confirmed the dispatch of some officers to the
area to restore calm and that details of all that happened was not
available with him as at the time of discuss.
