FAFT: Ejele emerges champion

Ejele Academy of Sapele narrowly defeat Edo state Sporting Dreams 1-0 to emerge winner of the second edition of the Felix Anirah Football Tournament at the Sapele Township stadium last weekend.
The grand final that was full of intrigues, suspense and skillful display of both teams, only goal came 5 minutes before the struck of the first 45 minutes to settle the game saw Ejele Academy sustaining serious threat that could not beat the Delta state team goal keeper.
Chairman of Ejele Academy, Michael Diden popularly known as Ejele commend the Edo state team, Sporting Dreams for their hard fight. He said his team won because of their level of exposure around the world.
” The fact that this is the only game I watch, no doubt the Edo team is very good side with what I saw here”.
” My team experience playing outside Delta state and in Europe gave us the edge over them. Otherwise they are also favorite to win this competition “.
Michael Deden also thanked the host Felix Anirah and express satisfaction over the well packaged grand final that was witnessed by top dignitaries from both Delta state and Edo state government which include philanthropist and former Delta state Governorship Aspirant Charlse Obule, PDP Chairman Kingskey Esiso, Godwin Odudu Orumen and other top personalities.
However, the sole sponsor of the soccer tournament Chief Felix Anirah thanked Governor of Delta state Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and all who made the football tournament successful.
Anirah said the fact he just won the Delta state House of Assembly primaries ticket, does not mean he is doing it because of his political career. He added that the third edition will cut across South-South Nigeria with a mouth watering price of Five million naira .
