According to the nation’s newspaper report, ” A reliable source close to the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the commission, who spoke in confidence, disclosed the Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei-led management will have a crucial meeting by 9 am today, which would be followed by a meeting with the staff to drop the bombshell.

It was also revealed Pondei and four other members of the IMC of NDDC were not happy that forensic audit of the commission from 2000 to 2019 ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari, was being frustrated by internal saboteurs.

Meanwhile, a key Niger Delta stakeholder, the Ijaw Interest Advocate, (IIA) National Coordinator, Amb. Yerinmene Salaco, arrow-head of  the revelation of the massive looting by the Interim management committee (IMC)  called on President Muhammadu Buhari to protect the jobs of senior staff penciled down fior the undue sack by the fraudulent IMC , supervised by Niger Delta affairs minister Godswill Akpabio.

He said the action does not go in line with the rights of the affected NDDC senior staff who are about to be victimized for nothing, they knew about.

His words, ” Retirement and  Leave of NDDC Senior Staffs Is a clue and Vindication of Akpabio, IMC guilty ICPC, EFCC Should Do The Needful

” The purported retirement and leave of NDDC Senior Staffs amidst the allegations of massive looting of the common wealth of the Niger Delta People by Senator Godswill Akpabio and cronies.

”But if the information is true, we are not astound of the unconscionable and plethoric retirement of the Senior staffs and it is clue and vindication of the Akpabio, IMC guilty. Even as that, we are emphatically saying that the retirement of directors will never hide the evil deeds of Akpabio and his cohorts.

”Senator Akpabio should be reminded that we are not sleeping even as he is taking different pseudo steps to substantiate himself having him have the pretension to crumble the commission in mask of being man of transparency and honesty.

”Even as we have petitioned Akpabio, we shall never slacken in our operations against his looting. ”While calling on President Buhari to do the requisite by suspending and promptly investigate the most fraudulent serving Honorable Minster of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, we are nudging ICPC, EFCC and every other relevant authorities to show some degree of integrity and transparency.” the group stated.
