Omo-Agege earmarks N5b for school renovations and street lights in Urhobo communities

Deputy President of Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege said he is committing over N5billion for renovations of schools and installation of street lights in all Urhobo communities in Delta Central senatorial district.
Omo-Agege who is representing Delta Central district made the revelation weekend at the Palace of Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom during a courtesy visit.
Omo-Agege accompanied by large followers expressed joy at the lavish reception accorded him, he promised to continue the provision of transformers and empowerment of Urhobo people through employments.
Omo-Agege congratulated the monarch on his enthronement and one year anniversary celebration, and took time to reel out his achievements as a representative of the Urhobo people.
Earlier, HRM, King Obukohwo Monday Arthur Whiskey, Udurhie I, Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom urged Omo-Agege to do everything possible to ensure that the Okumagba led screened NDDC board is inaugurated.
Udurhie I who spoke in Urhobo language said, “My Senator, please do all you can to ensure that the screened board of NDDC is inaugurated, it has taken too long.
“I have been dwelling on this subject everytime, we cannot allow the illegality to continue endlessly.”
The vocal King expressed his readiness to always bare his mind on issues that affect the people of the Niger Delta region.
Udurhie I while offering prayers to the Senator, also vowed to support any course that will bring betterment to the Urhobo nation.
He charged Omo-Agege to be focused on bringing empowerment and development home, insisting that his legacy will speak for him in the long-run.
