A  People Democratic Party ( PDP) stalwart  and Political adviser to the chairman of Burutu LGA, Hon. Edoukumor Michael has thrown his weight behind Burutu Southern candidate to represent them in 2023 federal house of Assembly.

Ho. Edoukumor disclosed in a statement sent to Daily Watch, said,  it is  the turn of Burutu South to represent the peopel at Natinal Assembly in 2023.

Accordibg to him, ”From Burutu North and South, the duo’s of Hon. Efirigha-endi Agbeotu, Hon Tam Brisibe, Rt. Hon.Frank Enekorogha, Rt.Hon. Julius Pondi, who had gotten the opportunity to represent the good people of Burutu LGA, at the Federal House of Representative with inception from 1999 to date;”

Read part of the statement below:

Following dispassionate assessment of the recent groups and individuals positioning themselves and deploying various strategies to attract sympathy and support for their interests and political linings, I wish to add my voice to the numerous voices that so believed that the Burutu Federal Constituency Seat be moved to the south.

Democratically, fairness and equity are reasons of conscience and morality for essential and authentic bases for peace, growth, and development in any egalitarian and democratic society therefore, Burutu Local Government Area is too important in Delta State to be left to a chance.

I have observed that some poltical elites struggling to dispute some clarification, but its remained evident and respected in Burutu political progression. Perhaps, it will be necessary to, for the records and for the purpose of emphasis to remind those who share this sentiments that;

From Burutu North and South, the duo’s of Hon. Efirigha-endi Agbeotu, Hon Tam Brisibe, Rt. Hon.Frank Enekorogha, Rt.Hon. Julius Pondi, who had gotten the opportunity to represent the good people of Burutu LGA, at the Federal House of Representative with inception from 1999 to date;

Burutu South; Hon Efirigha -endi Agbeotu 1999 -2003.

Burutu South: Hon. Tam Brisibe 2003- 2011.

Burutu North, Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha 2011-2015

Burutu North, Rt.Hon. Julius Pondi 2015-2019 till date.

Indisputably and Genuinely, the above mentioned had created positive impact on the life’s of those who are closed to them and the burutu federal Constituency in one way or the other.

Moreso, statistics in executive positions and benefits of all levels should also be clear, transparent and open for an honest appraisal, as you cannot also ignore our illustrious son, Deacon Burutu Kingsley Otuaro of Burutu North extraction, who have served eight years as deputy governor in state, our dynamic Honourable Commisioner for oil gas, Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba, and our dependable Comrade, Dr Shedrack Agidiga of Desopadec etc.

With the few above facts highlighted above, it would be appropriate to move the seat to the burutu southern to present a sellable and popular candidate that can unify the party and win elections for the peoples democratic party ( pdp) in the forthcoming general elections.

Therefore, I am appealing to all political stakeholders, leaders of thought and the entire good people of Burutu LGA and by extention friends of the LGA, in the state to support any candidate from Burutu South to ocupy the Seat of Burutu Federal Constituency for this is the justice, fairness, equity and reasonable thing to do. We shouldn’t allow our conscience to rule over our persinal desires.

In conclusion, as the Chief political Adviser to the Chairman, Burutu Local Government Area, I urge all political gladiators and supporters in the LGA ,and all concerned to play by the rules of unity of purpose in spite of our personal intetest and utterances should be guided in other to foster fairness and promote and enhance unity as a people.

Signed

Hon. Edoukumor Michael
Political Adviser to the chairman, Burutu LGA.
