In what appeared like a carnival, causing heavy gridlock for over 10 hours, from the Igbogene tollgate entrance to  secretariat of David Lyon/Sen.Degi along Sani Abacha express was one of the longest solidarity trains as party faithfuls, women, chiefs,Youths, various groups came out in their numbers welcoming the homecoming  of  All progressive congress (APC), flag bearer, Chief.David Lyon and his running mate Sen. Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo for the November 16 gubernatorial elections in the state.

Speaking at the commissioning of David Lyon/Sen.Degi campaign Secretariat, the Minister Of State For Petroleum Resources and Former Governor of Bayelsa state, Chief Timipre Sylva, expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress and her standard bearer in the state would usher in the much needed progress.

Chief Timipre noted that the pair of David/Degi candidature will position Bayelsa among one of the fastest growing states in the country urging Bayelsan to come en masse come November 16th 2019 and vote for APC.

According to Sylva”Today is just a tip of the iceberg, i want to tell you a new chapter has been opened in the history of Bayelsa State. I want to tell you prosperity is coming and I want you to know that the dark days and locust years are over; prosperity is coming”.

In his remark, the flag bearer of All progressive Congress, Chief David Lyon dismissed the claims by PDP supporters that he cannot speak by delivering his speech in English, said the authenticity of a flag bearer was beyond brandishing of Party’s Certificate of Return as done by the PDP flag Bearer, Senator Douye Diri.

Chief Lyon who frowned at the level of insecurity and poverty being experienced in the state, assured Bayelsan that he will deliver the dividend of democracy to the masses  if given  the mandate as Governor.

According to Lyon”Bayelsa, we are suffering. Our children are suffering. No schools. No market places. I assure you that if you give me your support to become your next governor, this story of poverty in the state will be change to prosperity.

Some persons who have not seen anything in their life, when given such opportunities and platforms, they misbehave and take it as their own family business. This is what is happening in Bayelsa State.

Thank you Bayelsans. Let us follow the right route. The right track to heaven. The journey has started. And we must get positive results in this journey. By the grace of God, we will win this election. So we should not slack. In politics if you slack, they will manipulate you. I believe that with one man, one vote, we will win PDP in this state. We have to work harder. The task ahead of us is big. Thank you so much. I will never disappoint you.”

First I thank God for giving us this opportunity. Today is one day that is reckoning. Bayelsans, I have to let you know that this election we are going in now is Bayelsa election. Nobody should sleep. The moment you sleep, they will take over from you. You should not sleep because the Devils are roaming about. But we will remove the devil. I want to make it clear to you people. People were saying David Lyon and Chief Degi are not flag bearers. We are the authentic flag bearers of APC.

If you want to know a genuine person, it’s not about flashing certificate of return of a party. We have never seen it anywhere. You flash certificate of return of a party that you’re the flag bearer. It has never been seen anywhere. Myself, I am waiting to take the certificate of return from INEC.” he concluded.
