he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State to join others to actualize Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa/ Hon. Julius Pondi’s second term ambitions.
He said he was impressed by the performances of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi A. Okowa and the qualitative leadership displayed by the member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the Federal House of representatives, Abuja, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi.
According to him, the Delta State Governor, Gen. Adowei had noted that under Okowa, riverine communities across the state are receiving government attention more than ever, with some transforming into cities.
He had particularly commended the Governor for the construction of roads in riverine communities like the Okerenkoko road in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West, Sokebolou /Obotobo road in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area, Burutu Township concrete road pavement and others within the local government and beyond.

However, on Hon. Pondi, member representing Burutu in the federal house of representatives, Abuja, the Niger Delta freedom fighter had applauded him for his qualitative and purposeful leadership, adding that his few years in office has brought smiles to many in Burutu Local Government and Niger Delta at large.
Meanwhile, Adowei had pledged to deliver 20,000 votes for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP come 2019 on whoever that emerges victorious as the party holds its national convention to produce its presidential candidate in Portharcourt, the capital of Rivers State today.
Nevertheless, Mr. Solomon Tega, a political analyst in Delta state had described the defection of Freedom as a big blow and a major political injury to the APC in Delta State, stressing that the party has lost a strong man under their fold.
He had particularly noted that, with Adowei’s exit, APC is doomed and finished in Delta State, alleging that come 2019, PDP will have a smooth ride.
The statement had further hailed the leadership of PDP in Delta state, especially under the reign of Okowa for conducting the most free, fair and credible primaries across the state, stressing that this has never happened before.
The ex-warlord had also used the medium in congratulating all the winners and losers of the just concluded PDP primaries in the state.
